Preparing a transparent wheel draw

Check the option list and agree on redraw rules before spinning.

Check entries before the draw

Use clear identifiers rather than unnecessary personal details. Agree whether one participant may occupy several positions: repeated entries can change their share of the list. After removing unwanted lines, check that no eligible participant is missing.

One winner or several

For one prize, announce that the first completed spin counts. For multiple prizes, decide whether a winner can win again. If not, remove that entry before the next spin. For a large list, a number draw with uniqueness enabled may be easier to manage.

Animation is not an audit trail

The spinning wheel visualizes selection, but does not prove the list stayed unchanged or that no retries occurred. Retain the rules, original list and a recording of the whole process. A wheel screenshot is not independent certification of a draw.

Questions and answers

Does the wheel independently verify a contest?

No. The list, rules and absence of retries require separate evidence.

Can I use numbers instead of names?

Yes. Keep the mapping separately and avoid publishing unnecessary personal information.
